This quiz is about the boroughs and census areas of Alaska. Match the names of these regions with the clickable areas on the map. A learning game with up to 30 questions.

The U.S. state of Alaska is divided into 19 boroughs and 11 census areas (Unorganized Borough). 4 of the boroughs are city-boroughs (e.g. Anchorage). These regions are similar to counties in other states.

You do not need to learn all divisions of Alaska at once. You could start learning the boroughs. Click on Switch region below the map to choose a learning region.

Alaska borders Canada to the east. Yukon territory in the north and British Columbia in the south (see Canada - Provinces and Territories Quiz). The river marked on the map is the Yukon.
The shortest distance between the Alaskan mainland and Russia is about 85 kilometers (the Bering Strait).
